ABOUT THE CHARITY
The charity works in the Amazon forest of Colombia. They work to establish and develop sustainable programs with indigenous communities to stop illegal timber traffic, illegal wildlife traffic and to protect indigenous traditions. Their work has been locally and internationally recognized, as they have successfully recovered large parts of the Amazon and effortlessly advocated for the indigenous populations in the area.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Overall Purpose of Project: This project will allow the selected photographer to travel to the Amazon and visit the charity’s reforestation and economic development programs. The photographer is required to capture the activities of each program as well as the Amazon’s rich and diverse ecology and the lives of the indigenous people participating in these programs.
