The organization is a leading child protection, health, and development organization that implements projects at the heart of the community. The organization runs programs aimed at preventing and protecting children living and working on the streets of Thika town and its surrounding environment. The interventions offered for the children include rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration; where the children are offered life skills, basic care, protection and health care. The organization’s mission is to protect the community’s dignity by advancing appropriate policies and interventions that add value to their lives so as to provide a world of equal and sustainable opportunities for every child.

The organization learns from influences and partners with the community, local government, national NGOs and donors to build long term relationships and to ensure solutions are holistic and address the breadth of the community’s children needs and promote the rights of vulnerable children including street children and orphans to access basic health care, education and security.  With the goal of building the communities capacity to protect the rights of children and youth through advancing appropriate interventions.  This particular project will focus on outreach and street work, which is perhaps the most tangible connection the organization has, day to day, with boys who either come to the streets on a daily basis, yet live at home, or actually ‘live’ on the streets, spending their days trying to find food, and their nights waiting until morning.
