Utilizing photographs and videos Protestify achieves authenticity by utilizing straight-from-the-source content. The immediacy of Protestify efforts is part of what ensures its transparency and the use of sophisticated information-gathering technology allows them to create readable content for interested readers.
Protestify automatic tracking and display updates the site with 42,000 new visual uploads per day. And mapping of different protest efforts world-wide ensures that those involved will be aware of others in similar situations.
From Rodney King and the L.A. Riots, to the Ferguson shootings and resulting protests Social Media (including video and photo) has increased the global awareness of police brutality.
