PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSION RULES - ALL PURPOSES

When submitting your photographs to Photographers Without Borders for any reason, please follow the rules outlined below.  Thank you.
  1. Photograph must be your own original work and you must be the current copyright owner.
  2. Image dimensions: longest side no less than 800 pixels; File format: jpg, jpeg. or png.
  3. You may use basic darkroom processing techniques such as adjusting contrast, color balance or dust and scratch removal, to clean up your photograph.  However, any kind of image manipulation - such as removal or insertion of items, or selective coloring - is not allowed.
  4. You may not use any kind of frame or border.
  5. We may require the submission of the full size original image, with EXIF data if available, at any time.

By submitting your photographic work, you are agreeing to these rules and are granting Photographers Without Borders, Inc. permission to use your work on our website or printed materials.  We will always name you as the copyright owner and provide links to your website when appropriate, if available.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSION RULES - FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHS

  1. Limit submissions to 1 photograph following the rules outlined in the ALL PURPOSES section above. 
  2. You may add a watermark and/or copyright stamp to your photographs. 
  3. You may send web-optimized image files using the file types listed above.
  4. Please include a photograph title and website if you'd like it listed under you photo. 
  5. Submit to featured@photographerswithoutborders.org 

 

PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSION RULES - CHARITY AUCTIONS 

  1. You may submit up to five (5) photographs following the rules outlined in the ALL PURPOSES section above.
  2. Do not add watermarks or copyright stamps to your photographs.
  3. You may send web-optimized image files during the selection process.  If selected, we will require you to send a final ready-to-hang photograph that has been professionally matted, framed and backed.  This will be the item you are donating to us for auction and what you may claim value against as a tax-deductible charitable donation per IRS laws.

PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSION RULES - DESK CALENDARS 

  1. Limit submissions to 2 photographs following the rules outlined in the ALL PURPOSES section above.
  2. You may add a copyright stamp to your photograph.
  3. Though not required, landscape orientation (longest side on top) photos print the best and show the most detail within the calendar layout. 
  4. You may send web-optimized image files during the selection process.  If selected, we will require a full size original image file to send to the print shop.  We will also require information about the photograph and the artist to post to our information page for customers to view.
  5. We will add a footer of white space to the bottom of each photograph to print the Title, Location, and photographer's Website, if included.

PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSION RULES - EARTH DAY STAMPS 

  1. Limit submissions to 3 photographs following the rules outlined in the ALL PURPOSES section above.
  2. You may add a copyright stamp to your photograph.
  3. You may send web-optimized image files during the selection process.  If selected, we will require a full size original image file to send to the print shop.
  4. We will be adding a border/frame around your photograph to create the collectible Earth Day Stamp. We will not alter your photograph except for cropping as required by the printer. You will be provided a final proof before printing is started. (View stamp border)
