ABOUT THE CHARITY

This non-governmental organization’s mission is to provide unconditional love and hope to all those impacted by HIV/AIDS. Founded in 1990, the organization adopts a holistic, family and community-oriented approach to tackling the HIV/AIDS pandemic by focusing on HIV prevention, care, community outreach and economic empowerment.

PROJECT DETAILS

The volunteer/photographer will spend time with the NGO staff members and volunteers, and visit various project sites (and activities and services – such as clinic, counselling, craft work, admin, Respite Unite, nursery, book shop, training classes, as well educational programmes, community gardens and sewing schools). The photos will be used for a new promotional brochure and website, as well as social media. 

QUALIFICATIONS

 Desirable

  • Experience in overseas development
  • Experience traveling abroad in developing nations

Essential

  • Proficient in photography

  • Willingness to immerse in local cultures

  • Understanding and appreciation for different cultures and ways of life

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

  • Open to new experiences
