ABOUT THE charity

Founded in 2007, this NGO’s mission is to ameliorate rural areas through the provision of quality, sustainable local and international volunteer programs and opportunities. The organization runs volunteer programs in the areas of education, healthcare, women empowerment, and orphanages. The goal of the organization is to help bridge the yawning developmental gap between urban and rural areas in Ghana.

The focus of this project will be documenting this NGO’s work based in various project sites in the Volta Region. Projects are born out of the quest to find sustainable solutions to problems like poor healthcare delivery, poor educational services, inaccessibility to potable water, ignorance of human rights,  unemployment, and improper  management of  the  environment, amongst  other problems  facing rural  Ghana. A core belief of the organization is that through local and international volunteerism, wherein rural people work alongside volunteers, a sustainable solution can be found to these problems.
