ABOUT our community partner

Established in 2012, this organization provides special education and related services to children with learning disabilities and other special needs. They aim to support the children, their parents and those who teach and work with them. Their goal is to be an agent for change and advocate for children with learning disabilities and other diverse learners.

Upon arrival in Accra Kotoka International Airport, the Associate Photographer will be picked up and transported to the NGO’s office. The photographer will be visiting several project sites, including schools for the deaf, and other local communities. The photographer will have the opportunity to explore nearby towns and marketplaces.

The photos will be used for fundraising purposes, social media, and other communications to motivate their existing supports and attract new supporters. Your images will also be shared by PWB to help support the work of the NGO and the PWB program.

Your job is to demonstrate the impact of the NGO through your storytelling and help convey to donors and grant programs the value of their financial support. Your images should tell a story that highlights experiences of local families and the NGO’s mission to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

  • Experience working with kids with special needs
