ABOUT our community partner

Established in 2016, this NGO works to improve the quality of life of refugees currently residing in Greece. The situation for refugees in Greece is characterised by lack of stability and an uncertain future. The NGO aims to offer stable and consistent support through education, integration and material needs. The NGO supports over 500 people living in enforced exile in Kavala. The majority of residents hail from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, with at least five other countries represented. Almost half of the camp population is under 18 years old, with over 50 children under the age of three.

SDGs: Quality Education, Gender Equality, Reduced Inequalities

project DETAILS

The photographer will be responsible for documenting the various programs of the NGO, such as the Mother & Baby Support Program, which provides essential hygiene items and a women-only space, a regular schedule of English Classes and the Community Garden. The images will help the organization document the progress of all of their projects and update donors and foundations on the impact of their financial support. They will also use the images on social media, for fundraising purposes and print materials. Your images will also be shared by PWB to help support the work of the NGO and the PWB program.

Your job is to demonstrate the impact of the NGO through your storytelling and help convey to donors and grant programs the value of their financial support. Your images should tell a story that highlights experiences of refugee communities and the NGO’s mission to promote equity and good health and well-being.

The photographer will also be responsible for carrying out the PWB Camera Project by leading photography workshops for organization volunteers.
