ABOUT THE charity

Founded in 2010, this NGO’s mission is to empower women to break the cycle of poverty by enabling them to engage in income generating activates, such as growing vegetables/pomegranates, and using them to feed their families and selling surplus to markets. Their goal is to provide women of the Thar Desert of India with the correct equipment and means to do this, to enable women to become self-sufficient for life.

Working with the women of theThar Desert of Rajasthan, this project will involve photographing and capturing video footage of women planting seeds and documenting the meaningful impact this has on their lives. The photographer will stay between two locations, Jodhpur and Phalodi city.
