ABOUT THE charity

Established in 2009, this organization’s mission is income generation in agriculture and ecology enhancement through beekeeping with indigenous bees. Their goals include creating more livelihoods around the beekeeping value chain, and increasing awareness about the importance of bees of small-holder agriculture and reduce unsustainable honey-hunting practices.

PROJECT DETAILS

The organization requires photography (and video, if possible) services. Upon arrival to Mumbai, the photographer will be required to take a train and travel to the organization’s project sites (6 hours away).

The project sites are located in Palghar, Maharashta, Dangs, Gujarat, and Dharampur, Gujarat. Transportation will be provided to all of these project sites/field visits to and from accommodations place. The photographer will be working on capturing how the organization through training farmers in beekeeping works to increase pollination – and in turn increases rural incomes and improves livelihoods. He/she will also interview female farmers in the Dhule and Dang districts (the organization’s women empowerment program and Self-Help Groups).
