ABOUT THE charity
Established in 2005, this NGO’s mission is to work with individuals and communities by creating lasting solutions for holistic development. Their vision is a self-reliant society in which people will have all justified entitlements. The organization is committed to eradicating illiteracy, poverty and prevention of communicable diseases across rural areas of Madhya Pradesh.
The photographer will travel to Indore. He/she be introduced to the NGO’s Chief Executive and staff, visit several areas, interact with local communities, capture their stories and social impact. The images will be used for fundraising initiatives, as well as general awareness.
Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism (and videography)
Experience using editing software (Photoshop, InDesign)
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.
Experience in overseas development and travelling in developing nations
Note: As per the NGO, you should expect approximately $150 out of pocket expenses based on your food and recreational preferences.
