ABOUT THE charity

This NGO’s mission is to build a just and equitable society by transforming individuals from socially and economically excluded communities into agents of change. Their work also includes expanding partnerships, and engaging and influencing governments, business and other stake-holders to take this movement to scale. 

The activities/projects include: providing care and support to the orphaned and abandoned children who faced high levels of discrimination in a variety of settings including households, community, educational institutions, hospitals and workplaces; addressing the issues of child protection and safe guarding by focusing on creating safe spaces for children, adolescents and young vulnerable adults; free LGBTQ counselling and support services; a sport development program for adolescents and youth that uses the medium of sport to deliver crucial life skills education on the issues of menstrual health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, communication, financial literacy, gender-based violence; netball tournaments (for girls and boys between the ages of 13 and 16); economic empowerment initiative; advocacy campaigns; and training workshops on issues related to sexuality and sexual health.

*PWB Camera Project 

Upon arrival to New Delhi, the Associate will reach the NGO’s office. During the project, he/she will visit several project sites (as listed above) in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Thozhamai Chennai in order to document the NGO’s work and activities. 

The images will be used for social media, reporting, donor-related materials, website. 



  • Lead and participate in the PWB Camera Program 

  • Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) original article, 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.   

  • Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism  

  • Experience using editing software (Photoshop, InDesign) 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills 

  • Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient 

  • Respect to cultural sensitivity  


  • Videography 

  • Experience in overseas development and travelling abroad in developing nations
