ABOUT THE PARTNER PROJECT
NGO started functioning in 2007 in Kyrgyzstan and registered first in Germany the same year. After proving sustainability of functioning, it was registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2016.
NGO’s mission is to prevent child abandonment. Children should stay in the families and have appropriate mother care. There is also early intervention program for the needy children. Therapy, rehabilitation and education for children in kyrgyz orphanages.
The purpose of the NGO is to achieve socio-cultural, medical and other public salutary goals that will serve to improve the living conditions of vulnerable segments of the population, such as children, women, people with special needs, poor families; facilitation to local initiatives aiming to improve the living standards of the local population.
NGO’s goal is to positively influence the seemingly helpless situation of the children and their families. They are working in corporation with the people affected on sustainably and need-oriented solutions which improve the situation of children in homes, and enable them to be adopted. In particular they are active in prevention and ensure that most kids stay with their families. NGO’s solutions show that many of the orphanage scenarios are not only avoidable but also reversible.
They work to address the following UN Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 1: No Poverty; Goal 2: Zero Hunger; Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being for People; Goal 4: Quality Education; Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The NGO requires both photographer and videographer.
The Project will take place in 4 Project sites, there are 4 orphanages where NGO works: Belovodsk town, Bishkek city, Sokuluk town and Tokmok town where videographer will be meeting with orphans, self-support groups for families, staff in orphanages, volunteers, moms and team.
The material will be used it for SMM in order to make visible organization’s work and attract funds and community at local and international level. The material will be posted on the website, Facebook, local newspaper, articles, presentation materials, brochures, at the press-conferences etc. Also in all materials/reports which they are providing to the donors, stakeholders, partners, international organizations etc.
Proficiency in photography.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, especially with vulnerable children and families.
Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient.
Respect to cultural sensitivity as you will be working with orphan children who might be with disabilities.
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.
Experience in overseas development and travelling abroad in developing nations
