ABOUT THE charity
This organization’s mission is to empower young people to take active participation in the development of their own community through social and youth activism as a powerful tool to change and response to their own or the needs of the community. The goals include: initiate personal development of young people through work and non-formal education; raise awareness of young people about active citizenship as powerful tool to influence social development; give opportunities to young people to realize youth initiatives and creatively express their options and attitudes; promote the rights and liberties of young people (youth mobility and intercultural understanding)
Upon arrival in Skopje, the photographer will be introduced to the organization’s team and members. He/she will tour several project sites, and the city of Ohrid towards the end of week 1. The photographer will also hold an introduction to photography workshop; interview staff and volunteers and participate in organization’s activities. The photos will be used for promotional materials, and to raise awareness through campaigns.
Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism
Experience using editing software (Photoshop, InDesign)
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.
Experience in overseas development
