ABOUT THE charity
Founded in 2017, this NGO’s mission is to inform, motivate, and support boys and men between the ages of 16-30 to provide them with opportunities for personal and professional development. This NGOs trains its participants in leadership, management, and entrepreneurship areas. Additionally, a main area of focus is educating their participants to advocate for gender-based equality and to fight against gender-based violence.
The focus will be documenting this NGO’s work based in various project sites all located in downtown Tana. The incumbent will document this NGO’s work in various training sites and initiatives for young men. There will also be a visit to a local orphan’s home to document the NGO’s work there, as well as an opportunity to document the impact of the NGO’s work by photographing showcase of the work of talented young Malagasy men (eg. the work of young entrepreneurs, handcrafts, artworks).
Experience in photo-documentary or photojournalism
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.
Experience in overseas development
Experience travelling abroad in developing nations
