ABOUT THE charity
Founded in 2013, this NGO’s mission is to create empowered communities which can influence members to ably take part in rural development initiatives through participation. They have projects which aim to address gender equality and women empowerment, HIV/AIDS care and anti-stigma, and economic empowerment.

The focus will be documenting this NGO’s work based in three project sites. Specifically, the incumbent will be documenting projects for women empowerment, such as initiatives that help keep girls safe in schools, and projects for HIV prevention, which involve education and anti-stigma approaches.
Experience in photo-documentary or photojournalism
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) original article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.
Workshop facilitation and teaching (PWB CAMERA PROGRAM)
Experience in overseas development
Experience travelling abroad in developing nations
Sensitivity towards people who are HIV positive
