ABOUT THE ngo
This NGO’s mission is to promote holistic development of underprivileged children and their families by creating just and enabling environment. Their goals include: providing access to education for children of low income background, to empower children through skills and knowledge-based education activities, to respect the rights of children to live in functional families and enabling environment.
The photographer will be introduced to the NGO’s Founder and team members. He/she will visit several project sites, including: schools where children from low economic background are enrolled in school activities; interview staff members regarding the challenges the NGO had/might have; and attend a conference in one of the schools. The images (and videos, if possible) will be used on the NGO’s website, social media, as well as promotional materials.
Experience in overseas development and travelling in developing nations
Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism (and videography)
Experience using editing software (Photoshop, InDesign)
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Open to new experiences
Experience working with vulnerable populations
