ABOUT THE PROJECT PARTNER
This NGO’s mission is to provide opportunities and resources for the long term educational advancement and community development of Nicaraguan barrios. They hope to brighten the future of the children by empowering the people of the villages to improve their current living conditions and break the cycle of poverty. Their focus is on children’s education. The organization’s volunteers go to the local schools and learning centres where they assist the teachers, tutor young children, introduce children to computers, teacher English and help stimulate an interest in learning.
The photographer will be introduced to the NGO’s staff and volunteers. He/she will visit several projects sites (for example, schools and housing projects) in order to document the NGO’s work. The images will be used for promotional materials to encourage volunteering internationally and nationally; and on their website and social media in order to increase the visibility of their organization and demonstrate the result to their donors.
