PWB School NICARAGUA is for amateur and aspiring photographers who want to learn from a master photographer and explore the world. This is a workshop for students interested in wildlife and is led by international acclaimed photographer and director of photography, Jeffrey Garriock.

ITINERARY


APRIL 23, 2017 - DAY 1 GRANADA: INTRODUCTIONS

Arrive any time.

The adventure begins tonight. Feel free to explore, but make sure you're back in time to meet the group. After introductions, your CEO will review the details of your tour.

APRIL 24-25, 2017 - DAYS 2–3 GRANADA: WORKSHOP 1 & WORKSHOP 2

Start with an orientation walk before options to kayak through the nearby isletas in Lake Nicaragua, hike Mombacho Volcano, or sit in the main square watching life go by.

APRIL 26, 2017 - DAY 4 GRANADA/LEÓN: WORKSHOP 3

Travel to León with an orientation walk around town. Enjoy exploring Central America’s largest cathedral and León’s history-filled streets.

Overnight Posada San Juan de Leon or similar.

APRIL 27, 2017 - DAY 5 LEÓN: WORKSHOP 4

Relax on nearby beaches or admire the many political murals around town.

APRIL 28, 2017 - DAY 6 LEÓN/ISLA DE OMETEPE: WORKSHOP 5

Travel to Ometepe and get to know local friends during a two-night homestay experience. Try the cuisine, test out some language skills and opt to climb a volcano or visit the local swimming hole.

You’ll be staying with a local family by the lake in the small rural village of Los Angeles, on Ometepe Island. Your presence is supporting this community-owned and operated business. The Planeterra Foundation helped launch the project and have trained up the community to host G Adventures travellers. While you're here, practice Spanish, enjoy authentically-cooked fresh food and explore the island!

APRIL 29, 2017 - DAY 7 ISLA DE OMETEPE

Enjoy spending time exploring Ometepe. Opt to climb Volcano Concepción or Volcano Maderas, take a cultural tour, visit the beach at Santo Domingo, or visit el Ojo de Agua for a refreshing swim and lunch. You can also view pre-Columbian petroglyphs or the small museum of indigenous artifacts in Altagracia.

APRIL 30, 2017 - DAY 8 ISLA DE OMETEPE/SAN JUAN DEL SUR: WORKSHOP 6

Travel to San Juan del Sur and get ready to experience this beach paradise. After taking the ferry back across Lake Nicaragua to the mainland, catch a bus to low-key San Juan del Sur for some serious relaxation by the sea.

Meals included: Breakfast

Overnight Royal Chateau or similar.

MAY 1-2, 2017 - DAYS 9–10 SAN JUAN DEL SUR

Use your free time wisely. Opt to surf the Pacific, go swimming or fishing, or check out the views from above on a zipline canopy tour.

MAY 3, 2017 - DAY 11 SAN JUAN DEL SUR/GRANADA: WORKSHOP 7

Travel back to Granada and spend a final evening with the group.

Depart at any time.
