ABOUT THE PARTNER PROJECT
This organization exists to support, encourage and build up any Rwandan-based social enterprise or community development project that is working toward physical and spiritual wholeness for all. Their goals include: eradicating physical poverty by providing employment and working within the rural communities; supporting rural communities by helping them overcome barriers to thriving such as lack of education and access to finance.
The photographer (and videographer) will visit eight different project sites (which focus on adult education and renewable resources) for photographs (and videos); and will meet with artisans group, wood carvers, and NGO’s staff. The images (and videos) will be used for website and social media – to increase awareness about their work.
Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism (and videography)
Experience using editing software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign)
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Open to new experiences
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.
Experience in overseas development and travelling in developing nations
