ABOUT THE CHARITY

Established in 2009, this NGO’s mission is to help lift overcome the social and environmental problems that deepen and perpetuate the cycle of poverty by providing education to under-priviledged children in Kroo Bay, George Brook and Lester Road. They provide many services in collaboration with the local community, including working with families, providing adult education and crisis management.

PROJECT DETAILS

Working with the disadvantaged children of Freetown, this Project will capture the hope that theprogram brings to the children while at school and in the community.  Additionally the Project will focus on documenting the children at play during their highly anticipated annual football (soccer) tournament. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Experience in photo-documentary or photojournalism
  • Proficient in videography
  • Respect to cultural sensitivity as you will be working with vulnerable people on sensitive topics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient

 Desirable

  • Experience in overseas development
  • Experience travelling abroad in developing nations
