ABOUT THE PARTNER PROJECT
This organization’s mission is to improve maternal and infant health throughout Uganda. They imagine a world where all women have access to a midwife and are respected, empowered, and able to thrive throughout the birth process. They work to address the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): #3 Good health and well-being, #5 Gender equality, and #7 Partnership for the Goals.
The photographer (and videographer) will visit the NGO’s project sites, including Birth House, Yoga training, and their workshops – to interview staff and training participants. The images (and videos) will be used to enhance this NGO’s communications, outreach, and fundraising efforts. They will be used on their website, social media platforms, e-newsletter to their donors and supporters.
Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism (and videography)
Experience using editing software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign)
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Open to new experiences
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.
Experience in overseas development and travelling in developing nations
