ABOUT THE charity

Founded in 2006, this NGO's mission is to promote sustainable development in under-resourced areas through effective community education and development of projects. Their goals include organizing people to participate in social action process for rural communities’ self-reliance; involving underserved communities and populations in decision-making; promoting health and wellbeing in underserved communities; supporting child development; and supporting women empowerment initiatives.

PROJECT DETAILS

The focus will be documenting this NGO’s work in initiatives pertaining to child health and development, women's empowerment, community education, and community mobilization initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Experience in photo-documentary or photojournalism

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

  • Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) original article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.

  • Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient

 Desirable

  • Experience in overseas development

  • Experience travelling abroad in developing nations
