About the Role

The Development Manager is a strategic growth driver for Photographers Without Borders, responsible for identifying and securing corporate and foundation partnerships that expand our reach and sustain our mission. This role combines strategic fundraising, relationship management, and business development to build sustainable revenue streams for the organization.

What You'll Do

Strategic Fundraising & Partnership Development

  • Research and identify new corporate sponsors, foundation funders, and revenue opportunities aligned with our mission

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve organizational revenue goals

  • Prepare compelling grant applications and funding proposals

  • Negotiate partnership agreements and funding terms

Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective partners

  • Serve as primary liaison for corporate and foundation stakeholders

  • Build trust through consistent communication and transparent reporting

Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct market research to identify trends in nonprofit fundraising, photography, and environmental sectors

  • Track fundraising metrics and partnership performance

  • Generate regular reports on progress toward revenue goals

  • Analyze results to refine strategies and improve outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of growing nonprofit revenue through strategic fundraising

  • Deep knowledge of US 501(c)(3) fundraising landscape and grant opportunities

  • Experience with corporate and foundation partnership development

What you would be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Community Manager in creating, scheduling and posting content Monday-Friday on our social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Community Platforms, LinkedIn, FB.).

  • Updating the website with new articles.

  • Creating and running ads.

  • Helping to foster community on our social media channels.

  • Editing the monthly podcast for our community platform and podcast platforms.

  • Communicating and engaging (answering comments/messages, interacting with other pages) on our social media channels.

  • Managing and updating all social media-related documents and platforms.

  • Communication and file transfer with PWB team via email, Zoom, Basecamp and Dropbox.

  • Attending our virtual weekly meetings starting at 6:45 pm EST.

  • Commitment to the organization’s values, code of ethics, operations manual and other internal policies. 

  • Facilitating our education and fundraising goals through the use of social media.

Sales & Outreach Representative – Education Partnerships (Hourly + Commission)

About the Role

Photographers Without Borders (PWB) is seeking a Sales & Outreach Representative to support the distribution and adoption of our Digital Learning Series among schools and educators across Turtle Island.

This role blends mission-driven outreach with ethical sales. You will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating free access to PWB learning resources for eligible schools on Indigenous reservation lands and educators, and

  • Selling paid licenses or packages of our digital learning series where budgets and opportunities exist.

The position is contract-based, compensated through a combination of hourly pay and commission, and is well suited to someone who is passionate about education, equity, and ethical storytelling.

Programs You’ll Represent

PWB’s Digital Learning Series supports educators and students with:

  • Ethical photography and storytelling principles

  • Media literacy and visual ethics

  • Impact-driven narrative skills

  • Responsible representation and consent

Programs may be offered free of charge, subsidized, or paid depending on school context, funding access, and partnership models.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales & Outreach Representative, you will:

  • Research and identify schools, districts, educators, and education networks across Turtle Island

  • Conduct outreach via email, phone, virtual meetings, and educator networks

  • Clearly communicate when programs are available for free versus paid licensing options

  • Build relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and respect

  • Support educators through the inquiry and onboarding process

  • Coordinate with PWB staff to determine eligibility for free access

  • Close sales for paid digital learning products when appropriate

  • Track outreach, conversations, and outcomes accurately

  • Represent PWB’s values and ethics in all communications

Ethical Sales & Outreach Approach

This role requires a strong commitment to non-extractive, equity-centered outreach. Success is not measured solely by revenue, but by:

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in outreach, sales, partnerships, or education-related roles

  • Familiarity with or openness to learning about ethical storytelling

  • Background in education, teaching, or curriculum support

  • Experience working with K–12 schools, districts, or post-secondary institutions

  • Existing relationships within education systems across Turtle Island

  • Experience with digital learning platforms or educational products

  • Lived experience within Indigenous, equity-seeking, or underrepresented communities

Facilitator & Trainer – Ethical & Impact Storytelling (B2B)

About the Role

Photographers Without Borders (PWB) is building a global roster of Training Facilitators to deliver our B2B ethical and impact storytelling workshops and team-building programs—hosted virtually and in person for organizations around the world.

These facilitators represent PWB in professional, organizational settings and play a critical role in advancing ethical, responsible, and impactful storytelling practices across sectors.

This role is contract-based, with opportunities assigned based on availability, expertise, language skills, and client needs.

Eligibility Requirement (Mandatory)

To be eligible for this role, applicants must have successfully completed at least one PWB Ethical Storytelling training, including:

  • Ethical Photography & Storytelling Certification, and/or

  • PWB Impact Storytelling, and/or

  • an in-person PWB Storytelling School workshop

This requirement ensures facilitators are fully aligned with PWB’s ethical frameworks, values, and teaching methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

As a PWB Facilitator & Trainer, you will:

  • Facilitate live ethical storytelling and impact storytelling workshops for organizations

  • Deliver trainings virtually and/or in person in a professional B2B context

  • Lead interactive sessions including discussions, exercises, and case studies

  • Adapt PWB curriculum for diverse audiences while maintaining core ethical principles

  • Support team-building and leadership-focused storytelling experiences

  • Represent PWB’s mission, values, and ethics with professionalism and care

  • Collaborate with PWB staff on program delivery, feedback, and continuous improvement

  • Uphold trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally sensitive facilitation practices

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a PWB Ethical Storytelling training (mandatory)

  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:

    • Facilitation or teaching

    • Photography, filmmaking, journalism, or visual storytelling

    • Communications, marketing, advocacy, or fundraising

    • Social impact, nonprofit, NGO, or community-based work

  • Strong understanding of consent, representation, power dynamics, and accountability in storytelling

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English

  • Reliable internet and tech setup for virtual facilitation

  • Experience facilitating workshops for organizations or teams

  • Multilingual facilitation capabilities

  • Experience working across cultures or internationally

  • Background in DEI, ESG, CSR, or community engagement
