About the Role

Photographers Without Borders (PWB) is building a global roster of Peer Mentors to deliver 1-hour 1:1 and peer mentorship sessions on topics that range from photography, storytelling, pitching, portfolio curation/editing, and other related topics.

This role is paid and contract-based, with opportunities assigned based on availability, expertise, language skills, and community needs.

Eligibility Requirement (Mandatory)

To be eligible for this role, applicants must have successfully completed our Ethical Photography & Storytelling Certification and must be a member of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a PWB Peer Mentor, you will:

  • Facilitate 1-hour, 1:1 and/or group mentorship sessions over Zoom, scheduled through Calendly

  • Deliver trainings virtually to community members

  • Lead interactive sessions including discussions, exercises, and case studies

  • Adapt PWB curriculum for diverse audiences while maintaining core ethical principles

  • Represent PWB’s mission, values, and ethics with professionalism and care

  • Collaborate with PWB staff on program delivery, feedback, and continuous improvement

  • Uphold trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally sensitive facilitation practices

Ideal Candidate Profile

We’re looking for facilitators who are:

  • Top of their game in the subject matter

  • Deeply aligned with ethical, justice-centered storytelling

  • Confident facilitators with experience leading groups

  • Skilled communicators who can engage professional audiences

  • Comfortable navigating nuanced ethical conversations

  • Adaptable across sectors, cultures, and organizational contexts
