Sales & Outreach Representative – Education Partnerships (Hourly + Commission)

About the Role
Photographers Without Borders (PWB) is seeking a Sales & Outreach Representative to support the distribution and adoption of our Digital Learning Series among schools and educators across Turtle Island.
This role blends mission-driven outreach with ethical sales. You will be responsible for:
Facilitating free access to PWB learning resources for eligible schools on Indigenous reservation lands and educators, and
Selling paid licenses or packages of our digital learning series where budgets and opportunities exist.
The position is contract-based, compensated through a combination of hourly pay and commission, and is well suited to someone who is passionate about education, equity, and ethical storytelling.
Programs You’ll Represent
PWB’s Digital Learning Series supports educators and students with:
Ethical photography and storytelling principles
Media literacy and visual ethics
Impact-driven narrative skills
Responsible representation and consent
Programs may be offered free of charge, subsidized, or paid depending on school context, funding access, and partnership models.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales & Outreach Representative, you will:
Research and identify schools, districts, educators, and education networks across Turtle Island
Conduct outreach via email, phone, virtual meetings, and educator networks
Clearly communicate when programs are available for free versus paid licensing options
Build relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and respect
Support educators through the inquiry and onboarding process
Coordinate with PWB staff to determine eligibility for free access
Close sales for paid digital learning products when appropriate
Track outreach, conversations, and outcomes accurately
Represent PWB’s values and ethics in all communications
Ethical Sales & Outreach Approach
This role requires a strong commitment to non-extractive, equity-centered outreach. Success is not measured solely by revenue, but by:

Long-term educator relationships
Mission-aligned partnerships
Responsible use of paid offerings
Required Qualifications
Experience in outreach, sales, partnerships, or education-related roles
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort engaging educators and school administrators
Ability to balance mission-driven distribution with revenue goals
Reliable internet access and basic CRM or tracking skills
Familiarity with or openness to learning about ethical storytelling
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
Background in education, teaching, or curriculum support
Experience working with K–12 schools, districts, or post-secondary institutions
Existing relationships within education systems across Turtle Island
Experience with digital learning platforms or educational products
Lived experience within Indigenous, equity-seeking, or underrepresented communities
Compensation & Structure
Hourly wage for outreach, research, and relationship-building
Commission on paid digital learning series sales
