Contract Details:
Paid contract position, 30-60 hours per month with potential to transition to full-time after 6 months
Location & Requirements:
Remote (must be US-based with demonstrated experience working with US charities)
Compensation:
$30/hour CAD
About the Role
The Development Manager is a strategic growth driver for Photographers Without Borders, responsible for identifying and securing corporate and foundation partnerships that expand our reach and sustain our mission. This role combines strategic fundraising, relationship management, and business development to build sustainable revenue streams for the organization.
What You'll Do
Strategic Fundraising & Partnership Development
Research and identify new corporate sponsors, foundation funders, and revenue opportunities aligned with our mission
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve organizational revenue goals
Prepare compelling grant applications and funding proposals
Negotiate partnership agreements and funding terms
Relationship Management
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective partners
Serve as primary liaison for corporate and foundation stakeholders
Build trust through consistent communication and transparent reporting
Analysis & Reporting
Conduct market research to identify trends in nonprofit fundraising, photography, and environmental sectors
Track fundraising metrics and partnership performance
Generate regular reports on progress toward revenue goals
Analyze results to refine strategies and improve outcomes
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Proven track record of growing nonprofit revenue through strategic fundraising
Deep knowledge of US 501(c)(3) fundraising landscape and grant opportunities
Experience with corporate and foundation partnership development
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with virtual collaboration
