NGOs, social enterprises, novice and professional photographers alike, this workshop will teach you how to best engage with and mobilize your clients and supporters. From the comfort of your home, you’ll participate in engaging discussions, challenging assignments, and constructive critiques to help you be your best.

Sessions will take place:
December 10th, 14th, 17th, & 21st @ 7:00 P.M. EST

What you will learn:

This interactive workshop includes four, two-hour lessons over the course of two weeks. Lessons will cover:

  • The art of storytelling: how to craft powerful stories that can move and inspire others

  • How to make the most impact through storytelling: knowing your audience, calls-to-action, influencing mindsets/behaviour, and designing effective content and campaigns

  • Thriving online: tools and strategies to help you achieve online success with your stories and calls-to-action

In addition to being coached by an award-winning photographer/director and NGO leader, you will connect with a small group of storytellers for this immersive storytelling experience. This workshop will include active discussions, practical assignments, transformative photo critiques, and personal coaching sessions.

All sessions will take place in an interactive, online environment. Students will require a computer with internet and built-in camera/microphone/speakers so we can see & hear you. You will also need access to a picture-taking device (phone/camera) to participate in assignments.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR

You will be coached by PWB Founder and CEO, Danielle Da Silva. Danielle is an internationally-acclaimed and award-winning photographer/director. She is a speaker, conservationist/ protector, scholar and activist with an MSc. in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics. She is the recipient of the Canadian Top 30 Under 30 Sustainability Leaders Award and was listed as number 2 in Matador Network's Top 17 Female Photographers of 2017 as well as their Top 5 Women Changing Media. She is an instructor for Fleming College’s and the Royal Ontario Museum’s “Environmental Visual Communication” graduate program. She is also Co-Founder of the Sumatran Wildlife Sanctuary and was the founding Co-Chair of the Dandelion Initiative.
