CHANGE THE STORY, CHANGE EVERYTHING.

ART OF STORYTELLING (Live, Virtual) | 4 sessions, 2 hours per class*

The Art of Storytelling course offers a hands-on learning experience that opens the mind and heart to the storytelling process through engaging  and thoughtful modes of creative practice. Over the course of 4 weeks, participants meet once a week for 2 hours, learning and applying new concepts surrounding the components of a story in a way that emphasizes responsible and impactful visual creation in a supportive community environment. This course centers the participant’s goals surrounding visual storytelling in a way that encourages self-awareness and insists on ethical literacy. Through weekly assignments, participants will be given the opportunity to tell a story of their choosing, guided by professional skillbuilding and constructive feedback.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to tell an impactful story to any audience, will know how to apply ethical considerations to the photographic process, and will carry key methods and tools that support any storytelling assignments and projects.

Through the completion of weekly assignments, participants will add a well-critiqued photography story to their portfolio, gain a network of creators and storytellers to share projects, engage with thought-provoking questions and discussions that enhance critical thinking skills and develop personal and professional growth. After the full completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
