Join us in India Feb 27-March 12, 2026 on a workshop in partnership with a community of people making powerful social change in one of India’s most enchanting places–the Blue City–and during the colourful festival of Holi.
This non-refundable deposit will be applied against the total amount of the workshop. If you have a discount code, the discount will be applied to your deposit AND final payment.
Join us in Rajasthan, India for an unforgettable journey to support Sambhali Trust, an organization that promotes gender equity in the midst of intersecting issues such as climate change. They have recently launched the very first cafe in all of Rajasthan that is run by members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This is a space that also hosts a shelter, an empowerment centre where sewing, Hindi, math, English and other skills that can benefit them financially so as to gain independence.

Day 1:
Namaskaram! Fly into Jodhpur, India on Feb 27 where you will be greeted by Sambhali staff. Get settled in your hotel and relax.
Day 2:
Start your journey learning about the Indian culture through storytelling and food. We will make our way around the city to set the context for this powerful story.
Day 3-5:
We start our journey in Jodhpur,
Day 6:
Celebrate Holi with the Sambhali community! A colourful time celebrating the victory of light over darkness.
Day 7-9:
We now move to the small desert village of Setrawa (2 nights) where you will learn more about the programs that Sambhali has in this stunning and remote desert region.
Day 10-12:
We end our journey in the golden city of Jaisalmer (2 nights), visiting programs that Sambhali has in place at each location.
Day 13:
It’s time to say “danyewad” and set off on your next adventure. Depart from Jaisalmer on March 11
General notes:
Participants must be comfortable travellers.
Our Ethical Storytelling Certification is a pre-requisite for Expeditions and is included in the cost of logistics and administration for those who are not yet certified.
Participants must be PWB Professional Members.
We will always prioritize the safety of our guests. All excursions are weather-permitting and are subject to change.
Participants must dress conservatively. Local dress is encouraged and can be purchased at a modest cost from Sambhali Trust, which also supports the community we are working with.
