Aida Kowalska (she/her)

Aida Kowalska (she/her) is a grantmaker and strategist with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit, philanthropic, and international development sectors. She is an advocate for justice-based, community-led environmental, educational, and equity-focused initiatives. Aida is passionate about ethical storytelling, intersectional justice, Indigenous and community leadership, and resourcing movements through values-aligned partnerships. She previously served as Operations Director at Photographers Without Borders, where she helped shape organizational strategy and deepen impact. She holds a BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology and Comparative Religions from the University of Manchester, and an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics. “I hope to support PWB’s long-term sustainability by co-creating strategic, values-aligned approaches to governance, partnership-building, and philanthropic development. I’m committed to holding space for ethical, community-led storytelling and advancing the organization’s mission to amplify voices that have been historically silenced or marginalized.”
