A little bit about your role at PWB:
As a member of the Board of Directors, I am helping to lead PWB toward the goal of expanding our reach and impact, ensuring that ambitious photographers have the resources and support they need.

What's the best part of your job?
In this position, I'm looking forward to uplifting photographers, amplifying the issues they capture through their lens, and bolstering Photographers Without Borders to expand its support for more storytellers and photographers.

What are you most passionate about?
I'm passionate about combining editorial photography with fine art photography.

Why is decolonizing storytelling important to you?
It embraces diverse perspectives and develops empathy.I believe photography is a universal language and that it is capable of reshaping societies.

A little bit about you:
I am an accomplished consultant with more than 15 years of leadership in international development and education, and experience working for and with the US government, NGOs, foundations and for-profit companies. I am also a lifelong learner, always looking for ways to better myself and the world around me.

I looking forward to being allowed the travel for my first assignment in Guatemala, and to joining the PWB USA Board.

What are you most passionate about?
Inclusion; education; learning; literature; my friends and family.

Why is decolonizing storytelling important to you?
Because stories are everything; they are what gets passed down from generation to generation and influence our big and small decision-making, now and in the future.

What inspires you?
Working with smart, compassionate people that remind me of how little I really know.

What are some of your personal goals?
I am always working toward greater personal growth and having a positive impact on the world, big or small. And this is an opportunity to learn more about the ins and outs of this organization while also contributing to its growth and success.

I was a Prof. of Music for 28 years at Kalamazoo College, and continue to perform and record as a classical pianist. I've led the local Amnesty International Urgent Actions for over 30 years.

I looking forward to being allowed the travel for my first assignment in Guatemala, and to joining the PWB USA Board.
